Hi! I'm Abigail Paulson, a graphic designer living and working in Brooklyn, NY.
I am especially interested in how messages are disseminated through design, effectively creating social change.
As the lead designer, I collaborated with Chi Ossé and his legislation team to design a graphic that would draw attention to his FARE Act bill proposal. The goal was to create an easy to digest and eye-catching design that would be re-shared. I was in charge of designing this post, and challenged myself by needing to include a lot of copy.
As a Senior Graphic Designer at BerlinRosen, I worked alongside strategists creating branding and visual identities, from logo creation to execution for campaigns at local, state, and federal levels for candidates, causes, and organizations.
Clients included: Pat Ryan, Brian Kavanagh, Matt West, Elijah Reichlin-Melnick, Summer Lee, Evan Glass, and more.
I conceptualized, designed, and wrote copy for a series of advertisements aimed at business folk and job searchers.
Working with the candidate, policy, and field teams, I conceptualized and designed a evocative print covers to get voters talking and a solutions-centered backsides to engage votes.
I pumped out over 50 graphics for this campaign, multiple a week. It was important to make them eye-catching, re-postable, and informative. I designed and wrote copy for all of the posts.
The "Let's talk about rats" mailer won a Gold AAPC 2022 Pollie Awards in Direct Mail for Local, Municipal, Mayoral elections.
Utilizing limited movie stills, I created a playful and colorful poster for a documentary about dancers with varying abilities for my client's master’s thesis at University of Southern California.

This truck and palmcard circulated Republican-majority districts, aiming to draw attention to the opponents’ record against gun control. With the fading copy and strong colors, I aimed to evoke the haunting sense that guns are a threat to every space we occupy.

I assisted in the launch of a monthly zine GUNK for the New York’s Indie DIY music zine. I designed an original layout; expecting tight deadlines and alternating designers in their future, the design needed to be easily manipulated, timeless, and efficient.
